MTS Presents: A Cultural Celebration – MENAT Style!
Call for Story Submissions!
Are you an immigrant or refugee from the Middle East, North Africa, or Turkey (MENAT)? Do you have a favorite memory from back home?
We’d love to hear from you!
Medusa Theatre Society is delighted to begin the development phase of our Cultural Celebration Event. This vibrant event, which will bring together our MENAT communities, is an evening dedicated to sharing our beautiful memories, rich music, colourful food, and overflowing joy.
The first step in the development process is collecting memories. We are asking our MENAT immigrant and refugee community to share with us a heartwarming, funny, awkward, outlandish?, true story from back home.
Once applications close, our artistic team will review all submissions, and choose five stories from different backgrounds to develop into ten minute performances, which will be the highlight of the Cultural Event. Those whose stories have been selected will be compensated with a $100 honorarium.
Out of respect for your time, we ask that you use this submission form and pitch the story in one paragraph. Please keep in mind, this is an evening of celebration. Please refrain from writing traumatic, sexually or violently graphic stories.
